David Istacky serves as the Founder & Director at Blue Waters Consulting, a contemporary executive search firm that assists its clients with domestic and transnational executive search and advisory services.

With over 22 years of profession experience, spanning across product, solutions and services companies, David has played key roles in business development and service delivery, in India at across several countries. He comes with a solid cross cultural work experience and exposure and has a fine understanding of the challenges on the ground related hiring executive talent in different countries across the Americas, EMEA, China, South East Asia and Oceania region.

David is known to build lasting relationships and is adept at managing expectations and negotiations. He is a passionate Executive Recruiter who has made significant contributions into the lives

and the careers of leaders over the years. On his last assignment, David was the Head of Talent Acquisition function for Elgi Equipments Limited, prior to Elgi he was a Vice President with the Cornerstone India Consulting (A Cornerstone International Group Company). His experience spans across the Telecom, IT, Manufacturing and Engineering practices.

David is also the Managing Trustee of an NGO called The Good Sam Foundation, that lends a helping hand to men and women whose lives have been wrecked by a personal tragedy, accident, depression, unemployment, debt, addictions, abuse etc. This organization helps people break through their situations and sets them up to embrace life again.


Devendra Chowdary, is the Head of Learning & Development Solutions at Blue Waters Consulting. He has over 35 years of professional experience across Sales, Human Resources and Administration and Learning and Development. On his last assignment Devendra has anchored learning and development across the business units at Infosys Ltd, a bellwether software giant.

Devendra is passionate about developing people and is known to stretch the boundaries of the human mind. He is acknowledged as a thought leader in the people development space and continues to make winning contributions in the areas of:

  • Faculty & student development and enablement.

Earlier in his career, Devendra has been associated with Steel Authority of India Ltd and Citibank Shelters.

He has taught Leadership Values as a guest lecturer at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and has been interviewed by a Pulitzer Journalist for a TV channel in Florida on values in leadership and management.

Devendra is a Postgraduate in Sciences and has a Diploma in Training and Development. He is a certified facilitator of the Paul Meyer’s, Leadership Management Institute and has been trained and mentored in counseling and coaching under guidance of Dr. Selwyn Hughes (UK).
